What is Kickstart?
Kickstart is the onboarding experience for Compliance Safety Manager customers. You’ll be paired with an OSHA and or DOT expert—your coach. You’ll be taught how to implement all of the modules in CSM to create the “Perfect Compliance Road Map” that will bring continuous, incremental improvements to your compliance efforts.
Is this software training?
No. Kickstart focuses on the strategic and planning aspects of OSHA and DOT compliance automation. It teaches you a repeatable process that has been shown to reduce liability and streamline systems and processes regarding OSHA and DOT efforts of small businesses. You’ll learn how to assess your business, plan a targeted strategy, execute and launch that strategy, and then optimize it based on actual results.
We know that small businesses have limited time, energy and resources. Often times they do not know what next step they should take when it comes to OSHA and DOT compliance, and they don’t want to waste their resources on strategies that may not work. Kickstart focuses on teaching you the methods needed to be a more strategic and organized business.
Who is my coach?
All Kickstart coaches are OSHA and DOT experts. They have worked with small businesses in almost every industry. They understand the daily challenges you face working in a small business and also the challenges of getting started with new software.
Think of your coach as your small business personal trainer—they are here to help you learn, as well as push you to achieve more than you could have on your own.
How much time do I get with my coach?
The time spent one-on-one with your coach varies based on which Kickstart package you choose.
With Kickstart Lite, your coach spends on average four to five hours with you.
With Kickstart, your coach spends on average seven to eight hours with you.
Kickstart Pro is a fully customizable, project-based implementation and will vary based on the scope and details of your project.
All Kickstarts must be completed within 60 days of purchase, but the majority of customers complete it much sooner.

What is included in Kickstart Lite?
Kickstart Lite is for you if you have prior experience working with compliance software, and are comfortable doing so. Generally, you are comfortable adopting new technology and are a quick learner.
Together with your coach, you’ll launch just one module, targeting one aspect of the “Compliance Roadmap”.
The Kickstart Lite experience looks like this:
- Assess: Your coach will assess your current efforts and help identify the ideal place to begin.
- Plan: Your coach will help plan the content and assets needed to effectively use CSM
Single campaign launch—done for you
- Execute: Your coach customize a single module in Compliance Safety Manager alongside you. They’ll also guide you as you import your basic data.
- Optimize: After test importing your data, your coach will make recommendations to ensure you are on track.
- Progress: You and your coach will identify the next strategy to launch and ensure you have the tools and resources to move forward with confidence.
What is included in Kickstart?
Kickstart is for you if you are new to OSHA and DOT regulations as well as compliance software, or want a little extra one on one time with your coach. Generally, you learn best by reviewing a process a few times, ensuring that you are confident and comfortable before using the technology fully on your own.
Together with your coach, you’ll customize the core programs in Compliance Safety Manager. By the time you are finished, you will have fully automated the core of a “Compliance Roadmap.” Each program will help you learn the software and process so you’ll be ready to move forward confidently on your own.
The Kickstart experience looks like this:
- Assess: Your coach will assess your current compliance efforts and help identify the missing stops on your ‘Compliance Roadmap’.
- Plan: Your coach will help plan the content and assets needed implement Compliance Safety Manager successfully.
First stop on the road map—done for you
- Execute: Your coach will configure a single module in Compliance Safety Manager alongside you. They’ll also guide you as you import your basic contact data.
- Optimize: After test importing your data, your coach will make recommendations to ensure you are on track.
Second campaign launch—done with you
- Execute: You will configure your second module independently, with close supervision from your coach.
- Optimize: Your coach will make recommendations to optimize CSM in a broader sense.
Third campaign launch—done by you
- Execute: You will build your third module on your own. Your coach will review it alongside you.
- Optimize: After test importing your data, your coach will make recommendations to ensure you are on track.
- Progress: You and your coach will identify the next strategy to launch and ensure you have the tools and resources to move forward with confidence.
